Copyright is a very complex law that was made to protect something that someone made and the person who made it. Fair use can help you so you don't copyright anything on accident. Follow four steps to help you so you don't copyright anything. It must be used for fair use to apply. If you don't follow this then you will be doing stuff that is illegal.

Someone who makes a High school sports team might take The University of Iowa's symbol which is a tiger hawk. That school would get sued by the University of Iowa cause they didn't get there permission to use there symbol.
